My name is pj buchanan - and I'm poetry jack. I bring my own brand of poetry to anyone who cares to listen or read. I've performed at festivals including Glastonbury, Bath Literature Festival, Durham Book Festival as well as in bars, cafés, libraries, schools, and even a ferry boat, and my poetry has been published in magazines. I've also won many slams, including Master Slammers: the Professionals in 2010. My first collection of poetry is due to be published in February 2013.
I also host Take Ten, an evening of spoken word and acoustic music at the world famous Cumberland Arms, Byker, Newcastle on Tyne I have a Master's degree in Creative Writing from Bath Spa Uni and I have a Certificate in Counselling Skills from Bristol Uni - these allow me to teach creative writing in a safe and supportive way.
